ive been studying and been listening to Eric Clapton aka "Slowhands"..
i think he's a great musician and he's composed some of my fav songs to date.
My Father's Eyes, Knockin on Heaven's Door, and my all time fav Tears in Heaven.
Tears in Heaven was a song for a movie entitled "Rush" but the song was really about his tragic tale of the death of his son Conor. He died after falling from the 53rd floor of his mother's friends house. It was so tragic which lead Eric Clapton to writing the song alongside music friend Will Jennigs.
I appreciate these sort of songs coz u dont hear these sort of songs that often today. These sort of songs have great lyrics and are very poetic. Unlike music today alot i hear someone banging someone..or tap..or i got all that cash and blings and bla bla bla..and things like someone cheating on someone and "oh no u didnt" kind of songs...wateva!
i recall an episode form One Tree Hill where one of the girl (the one married to the brown hair guy) tried being a musican but her songs were like not right or something and i think her "mentor" said like "why do u think Eric Clapton's song Tears of Heaven is so great? He wrote it from his heart about his son"...Oh so so true..Up till now i still get choked up listening to tht song..
His like wat in his 60s and still rockin it with his guitar. Im such a fan of his music. Sort of Blue-sy Rock kind of song. Very soothing..
What can i say..i appreciate the 80s-90s...
some of y fav songs to date and fav shows were from tht time...
i like the whole family and "moral of the story" sort of music and song..very good for the soul...
